Relentless Beats launched their new Phoenix Warehouse Project (PWP) earlier this month at Warehouse215, a fitting venue to host the event, with a portion of proceeds from ticket sales being donated to Childhelp to prevent and treat child abuse.
Kicking off the PWP Friday night were three DJs setting the atmosphere with three separate areas showcasing different artists–DXNTE in The Cathedral, MICHAEL JAMES in The Guild, and VOL.STAR in The Reading Room. Next in the lineup was TOBEHONEST, who ramped up the energy in The Cathedral with his blend of house and dance that kept the night bumping. FALLON and HOTSAUCE continued the good vibes next in their respective venue areas. Halfway through the night, SAN PACHO arrived on the main stage to bring in the house. With the floor filling up fast, fellow DJs KITO and PEACHY KEEN kept their sets filling the air with their own beats.
Throughout the night, music and art was on display to feed guests’ senses. DJs were delivering tasty beats directly to the audience's ears, and various artists were outdoors painting visual treats in a collaborative effort to bring another form of art to the Phoenix Warehouse Project.
While enjoying the sensory delights, attendees were able to add the sense of taste to the mix with the multiple bars sprinkled throughout the venue. This was a pleasant surprise to many guests as it minimized, to an extent, the lengthy wait times usually associated with music events by spreading out the amount of people in each line. It was a welcomed change as it cut out guests having to miss large chunks of performances while waiting in line.
Sight, sound, and taste had been verily satisfied, but one can always have more. And when it came to more, the sense of smell led guests right to the tasty food that was being cooked. With vendors on site to balance the alcohol to food ratio, Relentless Beats made sure attendees had enough energy to keep moving into the early hours of the next morning as the final musical guests took to their respective stages.
ENAMOUR in The Guild brought his masterful mix of deep house, and AVITAS in The Reading Room lit up the night with his tech house feel. The two fleshed out the venue with some new variety, a la spice of life, while The Cathedral was brought alive by GREEN VELVET. Even though SAN PACHO brought in the house, GREEN VELVET was there to bring the house down. Shoulder to shoulder, the floor was packed with techyes feeling the music, jumping, dancing, and vibing together. With all of the prolific work under his belt, the Phoenix Warehouse Project was another addition to it.
As the first night of Relentless Beats’ Phoenix Warehouse Project came to a close, it concreted itself into something to keep eyes and ears open for as it expands and becomes a fixture in the Arizona music scene.
