MEET THE DESERT SOUNDS TEAM
Syd Schwartz

Co-Founder | Executive Editor

Syd is a multi-talented journalist, photographer, and visual content creator passionate about the art of digital storytelling. She has been photographing live events since 2018, with an special interest in concerts. With a keen eye for storytelling and a diverse skill set, she collaborates with a wide range of clients in the Valley crafting impactful and engaging content across various platforms, including photography, social media, film and writing.

Alex Gold

Co-Founder | Photo & Video Editor

Alex graduated from the New York Film Academy in 2010, and the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Science in 2011. Following graduation at CRAS, he interned at the prestigious Premier Studios in Times Square and has continued to work as a freelance photographer & videographer since. His primary focus is on live music, but in the last 13 years he's touched on just about every part of the digital media industry.

Jose "Monty" Montoya

Collaboration Coordinator | Photographer

Montoya is a fiddler of photography and an occasional dabbler of digital text. Beginning with convention coverage in 2022, capturing the moments of live music has buckled up in the passenger's seat. Primarily focused on capturing live music through the lens, Monty Mo emphasizes not disturbing the attendees.
