Product Review: ROVE 10 Year Anniversary Box

ROVE sent over a 10 year anniversary box to celebrate their milestone achievement of staying lit for an entire decade. Inside you get an Ice Cream Cake infused preroll, Birthday Cake vape pod, a limited edition numbered emBar battery with birthday theming, and a Zippo-style jet lighter. Even just opening the box feels like an over-the-top spectacle as it simultaneously opens from both sides at once with the pull of a string.

Ice Cream Cake Preroll

A waffle cone and coffee scent hits before you light it. Immediate and strong, building into a faint creamy note halfway through. The taste doesn't quite carry those same coffee and cone notes, though. It shifts to straight creamy, which builds well off of the initial scent. Flavor stays clean and consistent without getting too harsh or resiny by the end. Between two of us, this took 15 to 20 minutes to burn through. Even ember the entire way down, no canoeing at all.

The effect is the kind of active and uplifted feeling that has you wanting to DO something instead of melting into the couch.

Birthday Cake Vape

There's a chocolate cake scent subtly discernible when someone else is hitting it, but once you start pulling it’s a strong buttercream flavor that compliments the residual smell of the oil extremely well. I pushed this thing well to its limits with multiple blinkers back to back, but the flavor held strong.

The smoothness absolutely stands out. No throat scratchiness, no degradation as the cartridge emptied. Every hit tasted and felt clean to the end. 

The Limited Edition emBar Battery

The battery is white and iridescent with birthday-specific theming programmed into the display itself. When you're pulling, the display shows a birthday candle burning down to animate your draw rather than the stacking logo on the regular model. A full blinker shows "10 years lit" on screen. It's a small detail that really shows they thought through what makes an anniversary feel special without overdoing it. The variation is also stamped as one of 6,000 produced for this celebration run.

The Lighter

There's not a whole lot to say, but every stoner enjoys a nice lighter. This one feels solid, and is overall just a nice touch that rounds out the full package making both items fully functional right out of the box. Just another small detail that really brings the whole package together.

The Box

I normally hate fancy packaging. Most brands throw an oversized box around a mediocre product and call it premium. The product should do the talking, not the cardboard. Marketing theater gets old fast and is one of my personal biggest red flags for a product to avoid.

This isn't that. This is a one-time anniversary box, not a permanent packaging strategy they're rolling out. And in this particular instance, ROVE nailed the context. Flashy packaging on regular stock would be annoying. Flashy packaging on a limited commemorative release marking ten years in this market reads as genuine. They earned the right to make this unboxing matter. The execution is clean, and the presentation doesn't scream gimmick. It cleanly communicates that this box and the moment it represents are special.

Final Takes

The preroll is a creative, active high that doesn't overshoot its strength. The vape is smooth, consistent, and potent without sacrificing flavor. The custom battery animation is the kind of personality touch that shows they're thinking about what they're building. And the accessories justify themselves instead of feeling like corporatized padding.

For a brand marking a decade, they shipped something that lives up to the milestone.
