Well, well, well, the Flagstaff Recurring Record Show hosted by Ghost Wax had quite the turnout last Sunday, April 27. From doors open to doors close, there was a steady stream of people throughout the entire four-hour event, showing that the need for such an event truly ran deep. Even the on-again, off-again rain didn’t slow the day down.

Organized by DJ Quick Kay and other local DJs, the event brought in a sizable crowd and a sizable selection of vinyls and associated equipment. Aside from local vinyl collectors offering their selection up for purchase, Bookmans and Puscifer The Store were also on-site with vinyls and other goodies for the masses to enjoy.

When asked why she decided to revive the Flagstaff record show, DJ Quick Kay stated “people have been missing it, I’ve been missing it… I like records. I want to eventually open a record store… this is kind of gauging interest.” And by the look of things, she was right.

The event had local DJs spinning straight from their own collections on stage to provide some audio goodness. With music covered by the local talent, the visuals could also be covered by the racks of vintage clothing on sale as well. Corduroy, windbreakers, jeans and jackets, with awesome baseball, Pokémon, and other cards as price tags.

If this sounds like something that is right up your alley, check out Ghost Wax for more other vinyl-centric pop-up events in the Flagstaff area through their Instagram @ghostwaxflagstaff.
