Rising artist and Los Angeles transplant GONER joined nine other emo rap and emo rock artists on stage at The Nile Underground this Friday, January 26, 2024 for the venue’s annual “Bankai Bash.” This was his second show in Arizona since he began his music career in 2018, and he had the privilege of opening for fellow artist, and one of his inspirations, smrtdeath.

With an engaged and energetic crowd in front of him, GONER played a diverse setlist. He kicked off with fan-favorite “Know Me,” before playing some more from his new album. Halfway through, he threw in a curveball, playing an unreleased song he wrote last week called “LIKE THAT.” At the end of his set, he took a moment to slow down before closing out with another rager, playing a cover of Taylor Swift’s “This Is Me Trying.” His sound’s mix of upbeat bangers and soulful emo kept the crowd jumping up and down and ready to rage for smrtdeath’s set.

GONER released his first album, “Because You Were Home,” last November, and has already seen success with the first track, “Know Me,” hitting over one million streams online.

You can catch GONER at his next show in Los Angeles on February 17!

  1. Intro/I got friends

  2. Know Me

  3. Forever 21

  4. NOW LOOK AT ME

  5. LIKE THAT
